 Amber Bottoms 1st Dan was promoted to Assistant instructor on Monday May 2nd, 2011. Amber has distinguished herself by being a leader to her peers and having a great work ethic.

 Tornado Relief

 On Wednesday May 4th, Brick City Martial Arts Students and some parents donated our regular class time to help the Tornado Victims of Sanford and the surrounding area by working at MAT6. MAT6 is an organization that helps people who have some kind of tragic need,Whether it be from a Tornado or some other kind of loss. MAT6 brings in donations and sorts through and then redistributes them to people in need. Martial Arts training is more than just punching and kicking at Brick City Martial Arts. One of our core beliefs is that you must be humble and always give back to your community. We try and find these kind of situations that allows us to bring our students in and actually get involved in helping others. The group did an awesome job and had a great time helping sort donations and getting them ready for redistribution. We went to the Kings Chinese Buffet afterwards and had a great time. We talked about how it is always better to give than receive.
